The MSc Advanced Mechanical Engineering aims to provide mechanical engineering graduates, along with those from related fields like civil, materials, chemical, and aerospace engineering, with the specialized expertise required by top employers in automotive, energy, defense, and manufacturing industries.
Specifically, the curriculum concentrates on implementing computational approaches to tackle engineering challenges, including computational fluid dynamics, wave simulation, composite materials, finite element analysis, optimization techniques, and reliability assessments.
Beyond these fundamental subjects, students can select from elective courses exploring marine/wind energy, riser systems, hydrodynamics, fire safety engineering, structural dynamics, and project management principles.
The program culminates with an independent research project, allowing students to refine their investigative abilities while addressing real-world industry challenges.
