Our goal is to comprehend brain function across various scales, from cellular processes to cognitive systems, and leverage this knowledge to develop accurate models and innovative technologies addressing societal challenges. We employ diverse research approaches including big data analytics, machine learning, neuroimaging, neural interfaces, human-computer interaction, and robotics. Our interdisciplinary work centers on six interconnected themes: Computational Neuroscience and Neuromorphic Engineering - Modeling neural systems to decipher intelligence and disorders while designing biologically inspired algorithms and hardware. Cognitive Neuroscience and Neurotechnology - Creating advanced signal processing tools to investigate brain activity and develop technologies that enhance or restore cognitive and physical abilities. Cognitive Robotics - Building robotic systems with human-like perception for natural interaction through advanced vision, tactile sensing, and object manipulation. Intelligent Data Analytics - Pioneering AI breakthroughs and scalable computing solutions for complex data challenges across sectors. Spatial Computing and Future Human-Computer Interaction - Exploring novel interfaces through AR/VR, wearables, and ubiquitous computing technologies. Cyber Security and Web Technologies - Engineering intelligent, secure systems that provide real-time, context-aware information and actions.
