Our marine science program offers a comprehensive exploration of coastal and oceanic systems, examining their biological, physical, and chemical dimensions. The curriculum spans diverse fields including marine biology, ecological studies, sea level variations, geological formations, underwater archaeological sites, oceanographic principles, marine engineering, and the ocean's role in economic development and climate regulation. Marine environments present numerous possibilities for sustainable development through initiatives like renewable energy projects, carbon storage solutions, and responsible fisheries management. The expanding Blue Economy (ocean-related industries) reached a valuation of 566 billion euros in 2018, creating approximately 3.5 million employment opportunities throughout Europe. This program thoroughly investigates the interconnected biological, physical, and chemical characteristics of marine ecosystems, encompassing marine life studies, geological processes, archaeological discoveries beneath the waves, engineering applications, and the ocean's dual function as an economic asset and climate moderator. Marine resources offer sustainable community benefits via clean energy initiatives, carbon capture methods, and eco-friendly fishing practices.
