Food and nutrition play a crucial role in maintaining good health, with dietary choices significantly impacting the prevention of various chronic illnesses. The food sector strives to meet consumer demands by offering affordable, safe, flavorful, and nutrient-rich food options that remain accessible throughout the year. The BSc (Hons) Food and Nutrition degree covers diverse disciplines such as scientific principles, business strategies, and consumer market dynamics. Graduates gain specialized knowledge in nutritional science, equipping them to influence dietary advancements within food production sectors, governmental agencies, or scientific research institutions. Instruction is primarily delivered by NICHE (Nutrition Innovation Centre for Food and Health) researchers from the School of Biomedical Sciences, an internationally recognized research hub. NICHE participates in multiple global research initiatives focusing on dietary health, frequently partnering with food manufacturers. Our faculty members are dedicated to delivering high-quality, research-based education.
