This program is available at the Magee location through the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment. Designed for those seeking to enhance their Information Technology (IT) expertise to an advanced level, this curriculum provides comprehensive training. You'll gain insight into fundamental IT concepts while developing practical skills for creating and managing computer-based systems in contemporary organizations. Key focus areas include Programming Fundamentals, Network/System Security, and Web/Database Development. The initial two years concentrate on honing programming abilities and cultivating the competencies needed to design, construct, operate, and maintain sophisticated computing and IT infrastructures. Dedicated support is provided to assist students in securing third-year placements. The concluding year delves into more specialized subjects, reinforcing your comprehension of various professional roles within the industry. Through the Final Year Project, you'll obtain hands-on experience in IT system planning, development, and deployment - an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your capabilities to prospective employers.
