This program is accredited by both the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers and the Sports Therapy Organisation. It provides a direct route into professions such as sports therapy, rehabilitation, health and fitness, with qualification for professional membership in both associations. Through problem-solving methodologies and hands-on skill development, you'll acquire expert knowledge in: evaluating, diagnosing, and rehabilitating various sports and health-related conditions, while refining these abilities through guided clinical practice. The curriculum examines research-backed treatment methods and recovery protocols alongside physiological, biomechanical, and psychological components, analyzing their influence on (or response to) fitness, sports injuries, therapeutic procedures, and rehabilitation. You'll utilize this knowledge to undertake an independent research endeavor. Practical training includes massage techniques, injury evaluation, diagnostic procedures, therapeutic methods, and recovery protocols in our on-campus sports clinics. Under the guidance of seasoned clinical instructors, you'll gain practical experience treating university staff, students, and graduates. This allows you to implement classroom-learned techniques in real-world scenarios.
