The MA Education (Applied) program is designed for professionals in or entering the education field, offering academic and career growth opportunities. You'll expand your educational knowledge while building sector-specific skills and expertise to advance your career. The program helps you develop transferable competencies that strengthen both your practical abilities and professional growth by deepening your subject knowledge and experience. Through the Applied pathway, you'll collaborate directly with organizations, putting into practice the concepts learned during the initial phase of your studies. Key program components include: concentrating on an educational area you choose to support your professional advancement cultivating your ability to work as a reflective practitioner in educational environments deepening your awareness of professional conduct and ethical standards in workplace and research settings equipping you with advanced research methodologies for postgraduate work and professional practice, allowing you to assess existing scholarship and conduct studies that contribute to educational knowledge providing hands-on professional experience to boost career prospects and reinforce academic learning. The curriculum consists of four 30-credit modules, plus a 60-credit dissertation and 60-credit Applied Practice module. Each of the four semesters features 12 weeks of instructional or placement activities throughout the program duration.
