Our BSc (Hons) Crime Scene Science program, which holds accreditation, equips you for a vital position in contemporary society. This multidisciplinary field, part of forensic science, involves applying scientific methods to examine and prevent criminal activities across various settings. Throughout the program, you'll learn to oversee the complete forensic procedure. The curriculum focuses on building expertise in collecting, documenting, assessing, and presenting evidence while comprehending the scientific principles of forensic examination. Students benefit from comprehensive crime scene facilities and instruction from experienced professionals who've worked in crime scene investigation. Beyond training you as a crime scene investigator, this qualification opens doors to diverse career paths, including roles as a police intelligence specialist, environmental crime specialist, or insurance fraud examiner.

You must have GCSE English and Mathematics at grade 4 (grade C) or equivalent but there are no specified Level 3 subject requirements for this course.

Alternative equivalent UK and international qualifications and subjects are also considered. If you are not eligible for Year 1 entry, we also offer this course with an integrated foundation year.

Direct entry to later years
If you have previously studied a relevant subject at a higher level (for example HNC, HND or one or more years of a degree at another institution) we can consider you for direct entry to Year 2 or Final Year of this course. Please provide us with a complete detailed transcript of your previous studies with your application to help us determine your eligibility for advanced entry.
