This construction management program equips you with essential skills and knowledge of industry principles, practices, and ethical considerations, both nationally and internationally, as required for bachelor's degree holders.
During the program, you'll master fundamental construction management competencies needed across all project phases, including insights into the circular economy and digital innovations transforming the sector.
Digital transformation is revolutionizing construction processes. As a professional in this field, you'll need to manage, interpret, and leverage growing volumes of data - a transition underscored by UK regulations and standards like the ISO EN 19650 series, UK BIM mandate, BS PAS 1192 series, and BS 8536 series.
The curriculum focuses on six key knowledge areas over three years: sustainability, building information management, procurement, construction technologies, modular construction, and core management principles. These are shaped by one of the university's most research-intensive teams, with collaborations including knowledge transfer partnerships with firms like Norscott, Vikander, and Ryder Architects, as well as initiatives like the Qatar BIM project that developed lifecycle assessment methods for Qatar's construction sector.
Duration: 3 years (or 4 with optional placement year)
