Aerospace engineers create, evaluate, and construct various flying vehicles including planes, spacecraft, satellites, and missiles. This program is ideal for those fascinated by aviation and space technology who wish to pursue a diverse engineering career. The curriculum enhances your expertise in key aerospace disciplines such as design, fluid dynamics, mechanical systems, flight controls, structural engineering, materials science, propulsion systems, and aircraft performance analysis. While most instruction occurs at Middlesbrough University, students can utilize comprehensive aerospace facilities at Hartlepool College of Further Education, featuring an aircraft hangar with both fixed-wing and rotary-wing models, engine labs, and wind tunnel testing. Transportation between campuses is available at no cost when required.
Duration: 4 years (extendable to 5 with an optional internship)
