Grounded in local, national and global research, SUSP's Secondary Design and Technology PGCE teaches you to make the subject engaging, relevant and enjoyable while developing skills to assess both student progress and your own professional growth.
The Swansea University Schools Partnership leverages the institution's extensive academic resources in Design and Technology. SUSP delivers exceptional, practice-based initial teacher education that combines research with hands-on learning. Every component of the course has been co-developed and will be implemented, quality-checked and refined through ongoing partnership to maintain this collaborative approach.
SUSP's ITE program is carefully designed to repeatedly engage with all Professional Standards for Teaching and Leadership through diverse learning experiences that strengthen, assess and enhance teaching competence.
Upon completing the SUSP PGCE, graduates become eligible for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recommendation to the Education Workforce Council and can pursue Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) positions in schools.
