Demands on our finite water supplies continue to grow. As populations increase and require more clean water, innovative approaches must focus on maximizing water reuse efficiency. The MSc by Research in Membrane Technology offers diverse specialization areas such as: Simulating membrane systems, Analyzing membrane properties and processes, Dangerous compounds, Biological processing, Novel membrane creation, Ozone treatment and Advanced Oxidation Techniques (AOTs), along with Large-scale testing. The Centre for Water Advanced Technologies and Environmental Research (CWATER) stands as a globally recognized hub for pioneering water purification technologies. CWATER's investigations primarily fall into three key domains: Potable water purification: enhanced techniques for drinking water treatment aimed at complying with stricter regulations while lowering infrastructure and operational expenses, Sewage treatment: solutions for effective elimination of pollutants to minimize environmental impact per discharge unit, and Industrial water processing: approaches for treating manufacturing streams to facilitate water recycling and recovery of valuable chemical byproducts.
