Maritime Law - covering Transportation Law, Environmental Safeguards, Ship Construction, Maritime Accidents, International Waters Law, Marine Insurance Policies, Salvage Operations, and Maritime Claim Enforcement.
Oil and Gas Law - particularly focusing on Investment Agreements, Liability Frameworks, and Dispute Resolution in Energy Investments.
Public Law at national, regional and global levels including: Regulatory Law, Healthcare Legislation, Youth Rights, Constitutional Frameworks, Regional Autonomy, Economic Regulations, Environmental Policies (encompassing Land Management and Biodiversity Protection), EU Legislation, Gender and Legal Studies, Human Rights Frameworks, Investment Regulations, Linguistic Minority Protections, Multi-level Governance Systems, Socio-economic Legislation, and Government Contracting Laws.
Criminal Justice Systems and Legal Frameworks addressing Terrorism, Digital Threats, and National Security Measures.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants for MPhil study must normally hold an undergraduate degree at 2.1 level (or non-UK equivalent as defined by Swansea University), with no failed modules at undergraduate level, and a master’s degree with an overall grade of ‘merit’. IELTS 6.5 Overall (with no individual component below 6.0) or Swansea University recognised equivalent.
