The LLM Professional Legal Practice is a specialized program tailored for law graduates, structured to meet the Solicitors Qualifying Examination standards. This course integrates fundamental legal knowledge with hands-on skills, equipping graduates to pursue solicitor qualifications in England and Wales through the SQE pathway. Participants can earn a master's degree, develop legal expertise, and get ready for professional practice.
The program spans one academic year (full-time) or two years (part-time), divided into two phases: Phase 1 covers essential practice areas, while Phase 2 hones professional legal skills within those core domains.
Designed with employer needs in mind, this program not only prepares students for SQE1 and SQE2 exams but also ensures a strong grasp of legal fundamentals and practical competencies crucial for qualification.
Aspiring solicitors must pass both SQE assessments and complete two years of qualifying work experience. Those not pursuing qualification will still acquire valuable transferable skills applicable to diverse careers such as academia, accounting, banking, corporate governance, public prosecution, finance, and government legal services.
