The Foundation Year serves as an ideal pathway to acquire the essential knowledge and competencies required to embark on an LLB degree. You'll explore fundamental legal concepts while developing valuable skills that will support your entire undergraduate journey.
This preparatory year is delivered at The College on our Bay Campus. Upon successful completion, you'll transition to the School of Law at Singleton Campus for your subsequent studies.
Over the next three years, you'll establish a solid foundation in core legal disciplines. As you advance, you can tailor your education by selecting from more than forty specialized law modules across diverse subject areas.

Qualification Requirements
Our standard requirement is 2 A Levels at grades of DD (48 UCAS points at a minimum of GCE AS level) or equivalent. All applications will be considered on an individual basis, with GCSE grades, AS Level subjects and grades, work experience, references and personal statements taken into account.
For applicants whose first language is not English, we require a minimum IELTS score of 6.0, with a minimum 5.5 in each component or an equivalent approved English Language test. For students who fall short of only the English language requirement we offer a range of pre-sessional training programmes that you may take before starting your degree programme.
