This accredited law program merges legal studies with criminology, offering you the chance to explore criminal behavior and justice policies alongside a thorough examination of English and Welsh law. The curriculum is structured to introduce fundamental topics from both fields in the initial two years, providing diverse optional modules in the final year. You'll acquire essential knowledge in key legal areas required for qualification, including Contract Law, Criminal Law, Land Law, Equity and Trusts, EU Law, Tort Law, and Public Law. Simultaneously, you'll explore central criminology principles, major theories of crime and deviance, and their application to modern justice policies and practices. This Law with Criminology undergraduate program cultivates exceptional research and analytical abilities while enhancing both oral and written communication skills. All our law undergraduate courses are accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority as Qualifying Law Degrees for students beginning in 2021. They also incorporate the essential subjects mandated by the Bar Standards Board for those pursuing a career as barristers. Our programs establish a solid foundation for students considering future Solicitors Qualifying Examinations (SQE).
A qualifying law degree opens doors to numerous career paths. We prepare students with versatile skills to boost their employment opportunities. Our alumni pursue diverse professions, including: barrister, chartered accountant, government official, academic, legal executive, municipal officer, paralegal, law enforcement officer, corrections officer, researcher, solicitor, securities broker, or consumer protection officer.
