The Applied Research Year offers students a chance to dedicate 9-12 months (minimum 40 weeks) within a research institution, acquiring direct investigative experience. Participants join research teams, engaging in daily scientific activities pertinent to their field of study. Expect involvement in several research initiatives, frequently conducted in sequence. This immersive experience cultivates sophisticated research capabilities, including technological proficiency, analytical techniques, field surveys, along with applying proper experimental methodologies for data gathering and interpretation. Participants might also contribute to technical documentation, literature reviews, and presenting specialized knowledge through various formats. The placement additionally provides chances for professional networking and career development.
