The initial year of this four-year program will familiarize you with essential concepts and knowledge needed to advance to the BSc in Biochemistry and Genetics. After successfully completing the Foundation Year with a minimum 60% overall average, students will move on to Year 1 of the BSc.
Our Biochemistry and Genetics program provides a comprehensive understanding of the biochemical processes in living organisms, from microorganisms to plants, animals, and humans.

IB: 24 to include Higher Level grades in Biology and Chemistry, plus at least one other science
BTEC: DDM including Biology and Chemistry
As well as one of the above qualification types all applicants are required:
GCSE: English and Maths minimum Grade C Wales (England Pre-2017) or Grade 4 (England Post-2017)
We accept Swansea University approved equivalent qualifications.
For applicants whose first language is not English we require a minimum overall IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) and no less than 5.5 in each component. TOEFL (IBT) - 79,
