Delve into Ancient and Medieval History to uncover civilizations that, while seemingly remote, continue to shape our modern world. This three-year BA program unlocks diverse career paths by cultivating skills prized by employers. You'll journey through European and Mediterranean history—from Athenian democracy and Persian empires to the Crusades, from Rome's imperial might to medieval monarchies of England, France, and Wales's age of princes—through multiple historical and archaeological lenses.
Throughout your studies, you'll receive personalized guidance from a dedicated tutor while enjoying social and cultural events organized by the Society of Ancient Studies and History.
To boost career readiness, we provide work placements via the Literacy to Latin Project, partnering exclusively with small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) and charitable organizations.
This program hones exceptional communication skills across written and spoken formats, while sharpening research capabilities, critical analysis, and problem-solving techniques.

Graduates pursue careers across multiple fields including: Education, Archival work, Museum curation, Media/PR, Business leadership, Political/humanitarian work, and Public service
