Chart your path in engineering by specializing in naval architecture and sailcraft propulsion. Solent's prestigious program, led by seasoned marine architects and designers, offers an internationally-acclaimed yacht and powercraft design curriculum. This course emphasizes small vessel technology, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and practical design applications, providing crucial engineering principles and design expertise.
Past students have gained valuable insights from guest lectures featuring professionals from leading industry bodies like the Royal Institute of Naval Architects (RINA), along with representatives from Nigel Gee BMT, Babcock Engineering, Gurit, Sunseeker, Rob Humphries Design, and Open 60 skipper Norbert Sedlacek.

112-128 UCAS tariff points from A-levels
A minimum of two A-levels, including two STEM subjects, a BTEC Extended Diploma at DMM or BTEC Diploma at D*D* in a STEM based subject, T-Level Merit, or equivalent, which comply with the minimum entry requirement of 112 UCAS points.
A BTEC Subsidiary Diploma will be considered in conjunction with other qualifications.
Qualifications equivalent to the above may also be considered.
Entry to year two may be offered to applicants holding an HND in an appropriate subject.
IELTS minimum 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each individual component
