Create and perform your music. This program blends live performance methods with studio recording expertise, utilizing both digital and analog facilities, making it perfect for starting your journey in the music business. Solent's renowned music performance and production course provides diverse creative and technical training in music and production, while equally emphasizing academic development through research and analytical skills. Learners will acquire knowledge applicable to the music field as well as transferable to other professions.

The curriculum includes in-depth exploration of the music business, covering topics like intellectual property, legal agreements, and professional opportunities. Participants will also cultivate versatile abilities in investigation, technology, public speaking, collaboration, innovation, interpersonal skills, and organizational leadership.

Educational development is supported by our professional-grade resources. These consist of nine recording studios (connected via Protools HD and Logic Pro), various mixing stations, and a Production Lab featuring 24 Apple computers (equipped with Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and Sibelius). Additionally, spacious practice rooms complete with instrument setups and sound systems are available.

Qualification Requirements

104-120 UCAS tariff points from Alevels
A minimum of two completed Alevels a BTEC Extended Diploma at MMM or BTEC Diploma at DD a TLevel Merit or equivalent qualification or a combination of qualifications which comply with the minimum entry requirement of 104 UCAS points
Direct entry into the second or third year may be considered for this course
All applicants are expected to be able to sing or play drums bass guitar or keyboards to the standard required for public performance
Applicants over the age of 21 may be considered based on relevant experience without having the required tariff points

IELTS minimum 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each individual component
TOEFL IBT minimum 80 with a minimum of 20 in each individual component
