From stepping onto the stage to performing before the camera, our acting and performance program empowers you to pursue your passion while gaining hands-on industry experience.
This dynamic course helps you develop core professional acting abilities, acquire theoretical understanding of theatrical and film performance (without traditional exams), and assemble a performance portfolio in an encouraging academic setting. You'll master fundamental acting methods for both theater and screen, along with vocal and physical techniques, performance history perspectives, and performance theory.
Opportunities include participating in theater productions and film projects at public venues, while being guided by our accomplished, supportive faculty with professional backgrounds in stage and screen acting and direction.
Final-year elective modules let you focus on specialized areas like directing, educational performing arts, staged combat, or musical theater, expanding your career possibilities.
Through our faculty's industry connections, you'll gain practical experience collaborating with local organizations on real projects. These professional relationships foster valuable partnerships - our guest instructors include working actors, directors, and career advisors offering insider perspectives.
Our program meets the standards established by Spotlight (the premier casting platform) and Equity (the actors' union) for drama education, enabling graduating students to qualify for both Spotlight Graduate membership and full Equity status.
As a student, you'll qualify for discounted Student Equity membership, transitioning to full membership after graduation. This provides access to vital career tools including casting notices, contract details, compensation guidelines, and the ability to create a professional profile on their platform.
