This program enables you to conduct specialized research in materials science and fluid dynamics modeling. This diverse field covers topics ranging from liquid crystals and polymers to thermodynamic systems. Your research will contribute to MERI's highly respected publications, many of which are ranked as 'world-class' or 'internationally significant'. Our curriculum is built on core principles that emphasize real-world engagement, collaborative learning, innovative thinking, and creating a nurturing environment for academic growth.
Being a research-focused program, you'll primarily work independently while receiving guidance from your supervisory team. This includes a Director of Studies and a secondary supervisor, both specialists in your chosen research area. Potential research topics may involve liquid crystals, self-assembling structures, or food science applications. You'll have access to comprehensive simulation techniques for your projects, such as molecular dynamics or Monte Carlo methods.
