Course overviewPhysiotherapists are essential healthcare professionals who improve health, wellness, and life quality through diverse approaches. This program provides hands-on training covering four key practice areas: clinical work, research, education, and leadership. You'll develop competencies to support and enable people dealing with injuries, illnesses, and disabilities – helping them better manage their conditions and improve physical capabilities.Upon completion, you'll qualify for HCPC registration, necessary for practicing physiotherapy in the UK.The Foundation Year option is ideal for students who want additional preparation before degree-level studies or who don't meet the BSc (Hons) entry criteria (due to lower predicted grades or selection event performance). Our academic advisors can provide guidance about preparatory studies before starting the degree program.Learning approachThis rigorous, practice-oriented program fosters independent learning, ultimately preparing you for autonomous professional practice. You'll gain clinical experience while working alongside other healthcare and social service providers. This integrated approach ensures you develop a strong professional identity as a physiotherapist, capable of delivering personalized care while understanding the roles of other healthcare team members.Our teaching focuses on cultivating the core transferable skills required for professional practice.
