The Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy (CISD) invites applications from candidates interested in pursuing MPhil/PhD studies focusing on interdisciplinary global studies aligned with our faculty's research expertise and the Centre's programs. This research initiative has two key dimensions: thematically, it examines modern globalization trends along with the political, economic, social, and cultural frameworks that influence them. Unlike conventional International Studies that primarily explore relations between nations, this program concentrates on understanding globalization's current state, development, and worldwide challenges from both theoretical and practical viewpoints. Methodologically, it encourages interdisciplinary approaches to studying globalization. Research projects will investigate how individuals, institutions, organizations, and nations interact to shape global dynamics, drawing insights from at least two of these fields: International Studies and Politics, Law, Economics, Management Studies, Development Studies, History, or Media and Communication Studies.
