The Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy (CISD) invites applications from candidates interested in pursuing MPhil/PhD degrees with a focus on interdisciplinary research in global studies aligned with our faculty's expertise and research initiatives. This program has two key dimensions: thematically, it examines modern globalization trends along with the political, economic, social, and cultural frameworks that influence them. Unlike conventional International Studies that primarily explore relations between nations, this program concentrates on understanding globalization's current state, development, and globally relevant challenges from both theoretical and practical standpoints. Methodologically, the program encourages interdisciplinary approaches to studying modern globalization. Research projects will investigate how individuals, institutions, organizations, and nations interact to shape global dynamics, drawing insights from at least two of these fields: International Studies and Politics, Law, Economics, Management Studies, Development Studies, History, or Media and Communication Studies.
