The BA Politics combined honors program enables students to pair their political studies with another discipline offered at SOAS.
This dual-subject approach provides opportunities to examine political topics or geographic areas through interdisciplinary lenses. Students may also opt to study Politics alongside a language, facilitating deeper exploration of specific regions or nations - including potential study abroad opportunities for language immersion.
Upon completing this joint degree, graduates will possess enhanced analytical skills for evaluating both domestic and international political issues from multiple perspectives.
For the Politics portion of the degree, first-year students complete the core Political Analysis module alongside either Political Theory or Comparative Politics. During their second and third years, they can select from diverse regional, disciplinary, and open elective modules.
Participants in the BA Politics combined program must meet the academic requirements of both participating departments.
