This rigorous four-year program enables you to investigate the profound connection between mathematics and physics while dividing your studies equally between both disciplines. The course holds accreditation from the Institute of Physics. Since Newton's era, mathematics and physics have been intrinsically linked. Often regarded as the foundational science from which all others emerge, physics nevertheless requires substantial mathematical expertise for meaningful study. Alongside mastering core physics theories, you'll immerse yourself in abstract mathematical concepts and discover their diverse real-world applications.
You'll join a dynamic, supportive academic community led by internationally renowned researchers and educators who maintain an open-door policy. Though more demanding than single-subject degrees, this combined program provides exceptional skills that distinguish you professionally. Blending physics with mathematics allows for a more rigorous mathematical approach, yielding deeper insights into theoretical physics areas like quantum mechanics and relativity. The shared first year with our BSc and MSci programs offers flexibility to switch to the three-year BSc option after Year 1 if desired.
