You'll investigate a self-selected AI topic and demonstrate your capabilities through an extensive final-year project. The curriculum includes optional modules from our MSc offerings, allowing you to graduate with an integrated master's degree. Ideal for those pursuing postgraduate studies or technical careers, this program gives you both deeper subject mastery and an advantage over traditional three-year BSc graduates.

Throughout this course, you'll learn from pioneering researchers, studying areas like machine learning, intelligent systems, neural networks, bioinformatics, cybersecurity, and computational finance, with opportunities to engage with our world-class Computer Learning Research Centre. The curriculum builds on core computing principles and application development essentials, spanning programming, software engineering, databases, web development, computer graphics, and robotics. From your first year, you'll work with programming games, robotics, Gadgeteer kits, version control systems, testing frameworks, Agile methodologies, and other tools in our advanced labs. Alongside required courses, you can select from various electives. High-performing students may transfer to our five-year industrial placement program.
