This program provides comprehensive knowledge about international security challenges while allowing specialization in specific topics or geographic areas. Leveraging faculty expertise in security studies, comparative politics, international law, political theory, and global affairs, the curriculum can be customized to your focus areas. Elective options cover subjects including political violence, biopolitics, media in conflict zones, international targeting laws, and regional geopolitics. The degree prepares students for careers in policy development, intergovernmental agencies, and NGOs.
Our Politics and International Relations Department prioritizes innovative research that directly informs instruction. Our academic community employs diverse methodological and theoretical frameworks to examine political phenomena at local, transnational, and global levels. Research focuses on security studies, diplomatic relations, military engagement, EU affairs, and how digital communication influences political movements, national identity, and migration patterns.
