Our MSc in Consumption, Culture & Marketing is a multidisciplinary master's program that integrates content and instruction from both marketing and sociology. Designed for those who wish to engage intellectually with the world, embrace challenges, and explore business practices, this program equips students with knowledge and skills applicable to diverse careers such as policy-making, publishing, academia, as well as marketing and corporate management.
This program offers an in-depth examination of consumer culture, addressing topics like branding, marketing strategies, bio-power, and neoliberalism. Students will investigate theories suggesting our modern world functions primarily as a consumer society and brand-driven culture, while analyzing how marketing and consumerism shape our daily experiences, social interactions, and public systems. The curriculum critically examines marketing strategies and consumption patterns to better understand their societal and cultural impacts.
