Led by specialists from the Centre for Victorian Studies, this program provides the chance to explore 19th-century literature and art history surrounded by our Egham campus's exceptional Victorian architecture. Featuring the stunning Founder's Building and exclusive resources like the College's Victorian Picture Gallery and archives, there's no better setting to examine this captivating era.
A key focus of the program involves investigating Victorian London. You'll examine diverse texts through multiple lenses, from Dickens' works to the rise of department stores, and from society portraitists to the Whitechapel murder scare. With London just a quick train journey from campus, you'll gain direct exposure to Victorian urban landscapes and archival materials.
