The MA by Research (Drama, Theatre and Dance) offers a versatile structure enabling students to pursue comprehensive studies (both full-time and part-time), guided by globally recognized scholars, across diverse disciplines such as cultural studies, drama, theatre studies, dance studies, performance studies, or comparative fields.

At the heart of this program lies a substantial 25,000-word thesis on a topic of your choice, designed to provide extensive opportunities for deep exploration of your subject while honing advanced analytical research and academic writing abilities.

Additionally, you'll undertake a research-oriented course called Ways of Working, which delivers methodological training and skill development for arts scholarship. This component helps you define, refine, and continually evaluate your research approach within a wider critical context while boosting your academic profile and research career prospects.

Program length: 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time
