This program equips you to examine development politics across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East, revealing both successes and shortcomings in real-world applications.
You'll learn from distinguished scholars at the Global Politics and Development Center (GloPolDev), becoming part of a dynamic research environment. The program includes participation in center initiatives like seminars and ongoing faculty/PhD research projects. With a focus on hands-on research, you'll complete a methods course to develop skills for gathering both qualitative and quantitative data for your thesis.
You'll have access to an extensive academic network offering guidance during fieldwork. Upon completion, you'll possess deep insight into development issues across these regions, with specialized knowledge of political dynamics in at least one area.
