This Joint Honors program blends Latin studies with French language acquisition and cultural understanding of Francophone regions. Since Latin forms the foundation of French, exploring both subjects simultaneously deepens your comprehension of each.
Regardless of your starting proficiency—beginner, advanced, or native-level—you'll master essential French language skills in writing, reading, speaking, and comprehension, with instruction from native-speaking educators.
Your modern languages curriculum will also delve into diverse cultural aspects, spanning from 17th-century French drama to 20th-century film and visual arts. As a language student, you'll cultivate superior communication abilities, research techniques, and intercultural insights alongside linguistic expertise.

There is no language requirement for the beginners' language pathway, but only one language can be studied at this level

At least five GCSES at grade A*-C or 9-4 including English and Mathematics.
IB - 6,5,5 at Higher Level with a minimum of 32 points overall, including the appropriate language if taken at a Higher Level and 5 in Standard Level Latin.
