This Joint Honours program allows you to explore your passion for history while developing proficiency in your chosen language - French, German, Italian, or Spanish.
Regardless of your starting level (beginner, advanced, or native), you'll master essential language skills in writing, reading, speaking, and listening through instruction from native-speaking educators.
Your language studies will also include exploring the rich cultural heritage of your chosen language region, covering everything from classic French theater to contemporary German youth culture, Italian design innovations to Spanish visual arts. You'll graduate with strong communication abilities, research expertise, and valuable intercultural understanding.

A-level in the appropriate language(s) at grade B for the advanced level language pathway
There is no language requirement for the beginners' language pathway, but only one language can be studied at this level
At least five GCSES at grade A*-C or 9-4 including English and Mathematics.
IB - 6,5,5 at Higher Level, including the appropriate language if taken at a Higher Level, with a minimum of 32 points overall.

IELTS: 6.5 overall. Writing 7.0. No other subscore lower than 5.5.
TOEFL iBT: 88 overall, with Reading 18 Listening 17 Speaking 20 Writing 26
