This Joint Honours program enhances your knowledge of drama and theatre while allowing you to master a chosen language - French, German, Italian, or Spanish.
Regardless of your starting level (beginner, advanced, or native), you'll focus on essential language components, developing writing, reading, speaking, and listening abilities. All language instruction is conducted by native speakers.
The modern languages portion of your studies lets you delve into the literature, art, culture, and history of your chosen language region. Topics range from 17th-century French drama to German cultural depictions of youth, Italian design innovations, and visual arts across Spanish-speaking countries. As a language student, you'll refine communication and research capabilities while blending language skills with intercultural understanding.

A-level in the appropriate language(s) at grade B for the advanced level language pathway
There is no language requirement for the beginners' language pathway, but only one language can be studied at this level
At least five GCSES at grade A*-C or 9-4 including English and Mathematics.
IB - 6,5,5 at Higher Level with a minimum of 32 points overall, including the appropriate language if taken at a Higher Level.
