If you're captivated by the ancient Greek and Roman civilizations and eager to cultivate versatile skills like critical thinking, this program is designed for you.
Led by a diverse team of internationally renowned scholars, our Ancient History program lets you explore Greek and Roman history during the Classical era (600 BCE to 700 CE). Across three years, you'll examine the political systems, pivotal events, and historical developments that shape our understanding of ancient societies—and even influence modern culture. You'll investigate major themes, crucial periods, and historical challenges, including the rise and collapse of democratic systems and the expansion and decline of empires.
From your first day, you'll develop essential skills and knowledge. In your second year, you'll broaden and deepen your historical perspective while honing research abilities and focusing on personal interests—leading to specialized studies and independent research projects in your final year. As you gain expertise in this pivotal era of world history, you'll also have opportunities to study complementary disciplines such as archaeology, literature, philosophy, and languages.
