Music and audio production play a crucial role not just in media and communication, but in shaping our cultural landscape. Sound has the power to inspire, characterize historical periods, influence identities, drive commerce, and enhance visual storytelling.
This London-based music and sound production program is designed for future media composers, sound designers, and audio producers looking to elevate their abilities for diverse creative industry roles.
Students will cultivate expertise in areas such as studio recording, live and field audio production, sonic design, songcraft, and scoring for film, television, gaming, and immersive technologies (VR/AR).
With a hands-on approach, the curriculum explores audio, sound arts, and music as separate disciplines while examining their connection to narrative and visual media. Students will ultimately apply both technical and creative sound production techniques in a project-driven learning framework.
Career preparation

Ravensbourne University London focuses on developing professional competencies, ensuring a smooth transition from education to employment. Teamwork is fundamental to this sound production degree, with students collaborating on group projects.

Instruction comes from accomplished academics and working professionals across music production, audio engineering, film/TV, broadcasting, animation, gaming, and experimental sound. The program also features guest lectures and specialized workshops by industry experts.
