You'll join the Maternal and Child Health research team, contributing to their extensive knowledge in examining high-risk populations during pregnancy, delivery, early childhood, and adolescence. Your focus will be on detecting and minimizing avoidable challenges and complications for expectant mothers and their families, as well as children with chronic illnesses or special needs. This work acknowledges that perinatal health and early childhood wellbeing significantly influence adult health outcomes across generations.
At the School of Nursing and Midwifery, we specialize in health innovation through collaborative design and thorough assessment of health initiatives and medical interventions developed alongside policymakers, healthcare providers, patients, and caregivers. Our research focuses on three key areas: Maternal and Child Health, Chronic Illness and Palliative Care (our established strengths), along with an emerging theme in Education and Practice. These interconnected themes represent our comprehensive approach to health research spanning from conception through end-of-life care.
