The MSc(Res) in Cancer Medicine equips students with cutting-edge insights into how precision medicine transforms future healthcare. Participants will acquire practical skills in molecular techniques and modern laboratory equipment, while developing versatile research competencies applicable across scientific fields within an encouraging academic setting. The program's core component is an intensive 38-week Research Project spanning both semesters, where students engage in hands-on investigation alongside active research groups. Through structured coursework, learners will assess innovative treatment strategies for patient stratification and improved clinical outcomes (stratified/precision medicine). The curriculum includes observational visits to the Northern Ireland Cancer Centre to witness precision medicine in practice.
