Safeguarding human rights on both global and domestic scales represents a relatively recent legal field. There's been significant expansion in the quantity and diversity of human rights principles established through international agreements, national constitutions, and informal 'soft-law' instruments. However, these principles aren't consistently enforced, and the systems designed to ensure their application often prove inadequate. The LLM program in International Human Rights Law enables students to develop a comprehensive understanding of worldwide human rights norms and how they interact with national implementation. A key focus examines methods to enhance human rights protection, enabling all individuals worldwide to achieve their complete potential and inherent dignity.
