The field of Biological Sciences covers a broad spectrum of bioscience topics, ranging from molecular studies to ecosystem analysis. Key areas of study include: Biodiversity, classification systems and environmental preservation, Cellular and tissue organization with their functional and physiological roles, Ecological relationships and animal behavior, Morphological and functional characteristics of microbes, protists, fungi, flora and fauna, along with Genetic principles and evolutionary processes. The BSc in Biological Sciences with Professional Studies provides students with comprehensive knowledge about the composition, operations, and interrelationships among microorganisms, protists, fungi, plants and animals. The curriculum spans fundamental concepts at molecular and cellular scales through to organism-level and ecological system studies. Participants will develop hands-on laboratory competencies for examining and handling biological specimens, encompassing appropriate physical, chemical and biological assessment techniques applicable to both laboratory work and research initiatives.
