The Joint Honours Programme in International Relations and Politics offers a comprehensive, multidisciplinary perspective on modern political systems, global affairs, and conflict scenarios, examining them through political, historical, cultural, economic, and legal lenses. Specialized courses will familiarize you with fundamental theories and discussions in International Relations and conflict studies, alongside Europe's unique journey in regional unification. You'll gain insights into various national political systems and societies, enabling you to conduct nuanced, culturally aware cross-country analyses.

At Queen's, International Relations extends beyond warfare and uprisings. It explores phenomena like globalization, evaluates the growing influence of emerging economies (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa), investigates European unification processes, addresses humanitarian concerns (including poverty, development, and displacement), and assesses media's role in conflicts.
