Qualification Requirements
Requirements for each PhD project vary but generally, we are looking for applicants who hold or expect to receive: a first or upper second-class honours degree in a relevant subject area. If your qualifications are not from a UK university, QMUL also considers recognised equivalent qualifications from accredited overseas institutions and equivalent professional qualifications, a masters qualification is desirable but not always essential, and relevant experience within the field may also be taken into account. IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall including 6.0 in Writing and 5.5 in Reading, Listening and Speaking, TOEFL: 92 overall including 21 in Writing, 18 in Reading, 17 in Listening and 20 in Speaking.
