The UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in Artificial Intelligence and Music (AIM) offers a premier PhD program focused on Music Audio Technology and the Creative Industries. Qualification Requirements

Degree requirements: Hold or be completing a Masters degree at distinction or first-class level, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Music/Audio Technology, Physics, Mathematics, or Psychology. We also accept applicants holding or completing a Masters degree at distinction or first-class level, or equivalent, in Music Performance/Composition or Musicology, provided that the applicant has a suitable technical background to undertake a PhD in AI and Music. Programming skills are strongly desirable; however, we do not consider this to be an essential criterion if candidates have complementary strengths. Formal music training is desirable, but not a prerequisite. Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall, with a 6.0 in all categories. TOEFL minimum score 92 overall with 21 in Writing, 19 in Reading, 18 in Listening and 21 in Speaking.
