With our global research reputation in Sports and Exercise Medicine, you'll have opportunities to study diverse athlete and dancer populations, tailoring your research to specific interests. The program's strong academic output is evidenced by numerous student publications in peer-reviewed journals. Our Center for Sports and Exercise Medicine operates within Queen Mary University of London's prestigious Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, housed in the William Harvey Research Institute. This faculty incorporates two internationally recognized teaching hospitals - St Bartholomew's and The Royal London - that continue to shape modern medical practice.
Career opportunitiesProgram graduates have pursued doctoral studies, assumed specialized sports medicine roles, and taken leadership positions worldwide. Notable alumni include Chief Medical Officers for Team GB at the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Olympics/Paralympics, as well as for the Greek team during the 2004 Athens Games.
A 2:1 or above at undergraduate level in a relevant subject. The course is aimed at qualified doctors, physiotherapists and osteopaths. Applicants need at least one year of clinical experience. If you are a physiotherapist with an overseas qualification, you must be registered with the Health Professions Council. IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall including 6.0 in Writing and Speaking, and 5.5 in Reading and Listening, TOEFL: 92 overall including 21 in Writing and Speaking, 18 in Reading and 17 in Listening.
