This program provides comprehensive insights into the scientific foundations of oncology and the process of developing, assessing, and applying new treatments. You'll acquire specialized knowledge in cancer biology, pathology, drug development, and research methodologies, offering a strong foundation for clinical oncology practice. What you'll study This MSc delivers a deep understanding of the scientific principles behind oncology. Upon completion, you will: Gain expertise in how novel treatments are created, tested, and introduced Develop a strong grasp of cancer biology, pathology, research methods, and drug development Understand the ethical and regulatory frameworks governing clinical research Evaluate the applications, risks, and benefits of radiotherapy, surgery, and imaging technologies in cancer treatment Learn to select and apply optimal research techniques for collecting, documenting, and analyzing data. Study options: Full-time (1 year) or part-time (2 years), delivered via distance learning.
A 2:1 or above at undergraduate level in a relevant subject such as Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Medicine from a recognised academic institution.
Applicants with a 2:2 degree will be considered on an individual basis.
 
The programme is open to graduate scientists, clinicians and other medical professionals working in healthcare, the pharmaceutical industry or contract research organisations.
 
IELTS (Academic) minimum score 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each of Writing, Listening, Reading and Speaking.  TOEFL minimum score 92 overall with 21 in Writing, 19 in Reading, 18 in Listening and 21 in Speaking.
