This Master's program provides students with comprehensive, cross-disciplinary knowledge of engineering solutions for biological and medical challenges, offering four specialized tracks: Clinical Engineering, Biomechanics, Biomaterials, and Artificial Intelligence & Digital Healthcare. The program holds professional accreditation from both the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, paving the way toward Chartered Engineer qualification. Curriculum Overview Through this program, you'll conduct groundbreaking applied research while developing expertise as a biomedical engineering professional. The curriculum builds proficiency in advanced experimental, computational, and analytical methods, preparing graduates to drive innovation across various sectors. Tailor your studies through one of four specialization tracks: Clinical Engineering, Biomechanics, Biomaterials, or Artificial Intelligence & Digital Healthcare. Undertake a substantial independent research project utilizing our exceptional resources, including high-performance computing systems and specialized lab facilities. Accreditation Details Our Biomedical Engineering MSc holds dual accreditation from the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, approved by the UK's Engineering Council. This accredited program partially fulfills the academic requirements for Chartered Engineer status. Graduates with both an accredited BEng and this MSc automatically meet the educational criteria for CEng registration. Those without an accredited bachelor's degree may pursue CEng status through the accrediting bodies' Individual Case Procedure.
A 2:2 or above at undergraduate level in an Engineering subject (e.g. Biomedical, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Aerospace, Robotics) or a related discipline (Materials Science, Maths, Physics).
 
IELTS (Academic) minimum score 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each of Writing, Listening, Reading and Speaking.  TOEFL minimum score 92 overall with 21 in Writing, 19 in Reading, 18 in Listening and 21 in Speaking.
