The International Financial Management MRes serves as a preparatory doctoral program, offering a rigorous, research-focused approach to international finance studies. This curriculum delivers advanced instruction in essential research competencies for academic careers and PhD preparation. Spanning 12 months, the MRes integrates mandatory research methodology courses with elective specialization modules, culminating in a thesis project. The program qualifies for ESRC financial support. Participants will develop methodological expertise for conducting, evaluating, and presenting scholarly investigations, along with practical research skills applicable to business and financial sectors.

Students need to have a 1st class degree at undergraduate level in any subject. A satisfactory research proposal that fits with research interests of staff in the School of Business and Management is also require. IELTS (Academic) minimum score 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each of Writing, Listening, Reading and Speaking; TOEFL minimum score 92 overall with 21 in Writing, 19 in Reading, 18 in Listening and 21 in Speaking.
